Job Summary
This role supports cutting-edge research in Microbiome Biotechnology at the Leibniz Institute, focusing on sustainable bio-based circular economies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and execution of complex microbiological and molecular biology experiments, including handling S1/S2 organisms, media preparation, and cultivation techniques. Daily tasks involve RNA/DNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and maintaining laboratory infrastructure, including procurement and equipment upkeep. The position requires a completed degree or vocational training in biology, chemistry, or biotechnology, coupled with practical experience in microbiology and molecular biology.
