Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as a Certified Accountant is situated within the financial and controlling division of the Wolfenbüttel District's commercial operations. The role is central to maintaining financial integrity and tax compliance for the waste management and commercial enterprises. Key responsibilities include preparing VAT pre-registrations and various tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, Trade Tax), ensuring adherence to German tax regulations, particularly § 2b of the VAT Act. Daily tasks involve supporting fundamental business planning, assisting with fee and cost accounting, compiling budget plans, and generating accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including group consolidation support. Candidates must hold a completed Certified Accountant qualification, possess several years of experience in balance sheet accounting, and demonstrate strong knowledge of German Tax Law and the HGB. Proficiency in ERP and MS Office systems, coupled with a goal-oriented, cooperative, and highly diligent work ethic, is essential for success in this demanding role.
