This role seeks an experienced Environmental Decommissioning Engineer to join a team focused on raw material extraction and sustainable energy transformation in Salzwedel. The core responsibilities involve coordinating complex environmental permitting procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations (like BImSchG and AwSV), and acting as the certified Waste Officer for decommissioning activities. Day-to-day tasks include developing comprehensive disposal concepts, optimizing waste routes based on legal and economic factors, managing waste documentation (bilances, statistics), and overseeing hazardous goods transportation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field and brings at least five years of professional experience in operational environmental protection, coupled with strong knowledge of contaminated sites and radiation protection. Experience
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in operational environmental protection
- Experience in waste-related construction supervision
- Knowledge of contaminated sites and permitting processes
