Job Summary

This role requires an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute significantly to complex maritime large-scale projects, specifically within the naval shipbuilding and defense sectors based in Hamburg. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in the conceptual development and selection of critical electrical systems, drafting detailed technical specifications, and creating inquiry documents for external suppliers. The engineer will manage and maintain design lists, test protocols, and equipment databases, while also coordinating closely with internal interfaces to ensure seamless system integration within the vessel. Key qualifications include a background in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Mechatronics, coupled with practical experience in electrical design for large projects, preferably in the maritime industry. Proficiency in standard CAD tools (like TC NX, AutoCAD, or EPLAN) and fluent German and intermediate English skills are essential for effective collaboration, making this a challenging and attractive position for a structured and team-oriented professional.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical training in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Mechatronics; ideally, further training as a Technician or Master Craftsman; alternatively, a completed university degree in a comparable field.

Experience
