Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Field Service Engineer specializing in Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) and HPLC systems, working remotely from the Greater Hamburg or Berlin area as part of the DACH Service Team for SCIEX, a Danaher company. The core responsibilities involve the independent planning and execution of service assignments, including the installation of new LCMS systems, performing optimal maintenance, repairs, and qualification checks on existing equipment, and providing comprehensive user training. The successful candidate will leverage a strong technical background, ideally in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Physics, combined with excellent customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction and systematically build trust. This position requires fluency in both German and English and the willingness to travel frequently for multi-day customer visits and internal product training, contributing directly to the acceleration of scientific discovery and human health improvement.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training, ideally with further training as a state-certified technician, OR a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Physics

Experience

  • Professional experience in field service (desirable)
  • Experience with system installations, maintenance, and repair
  • Experience in customer relationship management and satisfaction improvement
  • Basic knowledge of Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography, or similar technologies (desirable)
  • Experience in error logging and systematic reporting
