Job Summary

This role involves acting as a Satellite Control Center (SCC) Systems Engineer for Airbus Defence and Space, focusing on both hardware and software integration within the ground segment. Day-to-day tasks include conducting conceptual design activities, establishing detailed requirements for SCC hardware and software components, and defining interfaces within the broader ground segment, including ground stations and IT infrastructure. You will elaborate on system trade-offs, support overall architecture definition, and develop validation and operations concepts, including Flight and Ground Operations Procedures (FOPs/GOPs). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications, possesses several years of experience in IT/Information Systems and Aerospace Engineering, and has mandatory strong expertise in software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure. Fluency in both spoken and written English and German is required for this critical role supporting complex space missions.
