Job Summary

The Head of the IT Procedure Support Working Group will lead a team of 10 employees responsible for the introduction, development, enhancement, and operation of over 100 specialized IT procedures across critical sectors like urban development, construction, housing, mobility, and climate protection for the State of Berlin. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the operational capability and availability of essential IT systems relied upon by thousands of city employees. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction for technologies and hosting solutions, coordinating extensively with internal IT groups (e.g., finance, network, IT security, E-Government), and advising specialist departments on IT procedure procurement and continuous development. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Geoinformatics, coupled with professional experience in IT procedure operation and proven personnel management skills.
