This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the operational capability and availability of essential IT systems relied upon by thousands of city employees. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction for technologies and hosting solutions, coordinating extensively with internal IT groups (e.g., finance, network, IT security, E-Government), and advising specialist departments on IT procedure procurement and continuous development. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Geoinformatics, coupled with professional experience in IT procedure operation and proven personnel management skills. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role within the public service, contributing directly to the sustainable growth and functioning of Berlin.
