Job Summary

This Senior Applied Scientist role within the Pricing, Traffic & Trading Tech organization focuses on leveraging advanced research to optimize critical commercial decisions for a major e-commerce platform. The successful candidate will lead the evolution of a bespoke experimentation platform, researching and implementing state-of-the-art causal inference and experimental design methodologies to empower robust testing across teams. A key focus area is driving voucher optimization by building sophisticated models for customer targeting and assortment selection using the experimentation platform and modelling expertise. Day-to-day work involves developing machine learning and econometric models to measure the true incremental impact of interventions, collaborating closely with ML engineers for production deployment. This position requires a strong academic background, deep expertise in experimentation, and proficiency in Python, offering the chance to champion scientific excellence and mentor junior scientists while translating theoretical advances into tangible business value.
