Job Summary

This role is based within the State Academy for Food, Agriculture, and Forestry in Landshut, Germany, focusing on expanding the Competence Center for AI and Knowledge Management. The Data Scientist will be instrumental in driving digitalization and the implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies within the governmental sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing existing administrative processes, identifying optimization potential using Knowledge Management and AI, and optimizing complex data assets for use in generative AI applications. A core part of the job involves developing and validating functional prototypes and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to test data-driven AI approaches. You will also consult specialized departments on AI implementation and provide training to employees. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with expertise in Python, SQL, and generative AI model development. Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a comparable field; OR Qualification for entry into the third qualification level of the Natural Science and Technology specialist career path, specializing in Administrative Informatics.

Experience

  • Experience in data preparation and analysis
  • Professional experience in the development and deployment of AI models, particularly Generative AI
  • If qualifying via the third qualification level: Several years of professional experience in AI and Knowledge Management
  • Experience in public administration (Advantageous)
