Job Summary

The Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) in Berlin is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the 'Integrated Structural Dynamics' group. The successful candidate will conduct basic research focused on intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Day-to-day work involves studying the conformational dynamics and interaction landscape of these proteins, their relation to liquid-liquid phase separation, and their cellular implications. This role requires utilizing and developing integrated single molecule fluorescence and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy approaches. Key qualifications include a doctoral degree in biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, or a related field, coupled with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research bridging advanced spectroscopy and in-cell fluorescence imaging. This position offers an attractive, collaborative environment with state-of-the-art facilities and competitive compensation under the public collective bargaining agreement (TVöD Bund). The role is initially limited to two years with the potential for extension.
