Job Summary

This role seeks a Scientific Associate specializing in Epidemiology or Public Health to join the Donor and Hemovigilance department at one of the German Red Cross Blood Service locations (Mannheim, Frankfurt, or Ulm). The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary team, independently developing research questions, and managing and evaluating large databases. A core responsibility involves conducting systematic reviews, including meta-analyses, and disseminating findings through high-quality study reports and publications in both German and English professional journals. You will also regularly present research results at national and international congresses. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Life Sciences (such as Epidemiology or Human Medicine), proven experience in conducting epidemiological studies, and proficiency in statistical analysis software. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Life or Natural Sciences (e.g., Epidemiology, Public Health, Human Medicine); Doctoral degree (PhD) preferred.

Experience

  • Professional experience in creating systematic overview papers (Ideally)
  • Professional experience analyzing supply and/or secondary data (Ideally)
