Job Summary

This role involves taking ownership of the planning, design, and realization of complex high-voltage projects, such as substations, switchgear, overhead lines, and cable systems. The High Voltage Engineer provides crucial technical support throughout the realization phase, managing coordination with clients, grid operators, and regulatory authorities. Key responsibilities include preparing technical specifications, tender documents, and overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring strict adherence to technical norms (like VDE, IEC, DIN) and quality standards. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical or Energy Technology and possess fundamental knowledge of power transmission technology and relevant software (CAD, NEPLAN/PowerFactory). This position offers the opportunity to apply specialized engineering expertise to optimize existing high-voltage grids and drive technological progress in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable Engineering Science

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, design, and realization of complex high-voltage projects
  • Professional experience in technical project support and supervision during the realization phase
  • Professional experience in monitoring installation, testing, and commissioning work
  • Professional experience with relevant norms and regulations (VDE, IEC, DIN)
