Job Summary

This dynamic role involves supporting Airbus Secure Land Communications by ensuring the stability and performance of critical firewall and network infrastructure solutions. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of these systems, including setup, installation, and ongoing maintenance. A core part of the daily duties includes performing complex network problem analysis, classification, and resolution within the framework of Incident Management, as well as executing Change, Release, and Configuration Management processes. Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science or possess long-term professional experience as an IT Systems Electrician, demonstrating extensive knowledge in network and firewall administration, TCP/IP, and advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF). Proficiency with troubleshooting tools like tcpdump and Wireshark is essential. This position offers an unlimited contract and the opportunity to work on innovative projects, requiring highly proficient German and English communication skills.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification; or completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electrician with long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience as an IT Systems Electrician (if vocational training route taken)
  • Extensive experience in planning and administration of network and firewall infrastructures
  • Profound experience in network technology and TCP/IP
  • Practical experience with DXT systems (Nokia) is ideal
