Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to establish and shape the dedicated finance organization for BASF's Coatings division following a strategic realignment. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely consolidation of financial statements, strictly adhering to IFRS and statutory requirements. Key daily activities include leading the preparation and review of financial statements, managing the legal entity Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC) scope using a risk-based approach, and defining company-specific FRC measures. The specialist acts as the technical IFRS expert, implementing accounting policies, maintaining thorough documentation for audits, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (accounting, tax, etc.). Success in this position requires a professional with extensive experience in multinational consolidation, proficiency in SAP, and a drive for continuous improvement through process and technology enhancements, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
