Job Summary
This role seeks an ambitious Automotive Component Manager to drive the development and release of critical vehicle components within the automotive sector. Day-to-day responsibilities involve rigorous project coordination, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and schedule targets. You will serve as the primary interface between the internal development department and external suppliers, defining requirements, reviewing technical documents—including specifications, CAD models, and supplier drawings—and managing the Bill of Materials. A key function is controlling scope changes, documenting formal release recommendations, and presenting development progress to relevant committees. This position is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automotive) who possess a deep understanding of overall vehicle architecture and operational processes within automotive development environments. Strong communication, initiative, and assertiveness are essential for success in this demanding role.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or comparable field.
Experience
- Several years of experience in component responsibility or project management
- Several years of experience in the automotive sector
- Professional experience understanding overall vehicle systems
- Professional experience with operational procedures and processes in automotive development environments
