Job Summary

This role is with Hamburger Energienetze GmbH, a major energy distribution network operator in Hamburg, focusing on high-voltage cable systems (110 kV). The engineer will be deeply involved in the entire lifecycle of new construction and modification projects, covering everything from conceptual design and project realization through to final commissioning. Key day-to-day tasks include supporting acceptance tests and sampling of high-voltage operational equipment (cables and accessories) at manufacturer sites, ensuring strict adherence to current guidelines and norms. The position requires coordinating and executing equipment testing, issuing partial operational readiness declarations, and conducting complex fault analyses for operational disruptions. Furthermore, the engineer is responsible for developing technical concepts for 110 kV cable system technology and actively participating in digitalization initiatives for cable monitoring and control. Candidates must possess a university degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and demonstrate professional experience in the cable sector, along with a high degree of commitment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
