Job Summary
This leadership role, situated in the administrative office of the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (LIN), requires a competent professional to manage the Strategic Science Management and Committee Support division. The successful candidate will lead the administrative team, providing crucial support to the Executive Board and research groups on all strategic initiatives, including organizational development, research planning, and coordination of collaborations. Key responsibilities involve managing the preparation of institutional evaluations and audits, serving as the primary contact for external stakeholders and committee members, and conducting independent research and analysis for executive reports. The ideal applicant possesses a scientific university degree, deep knowledge of the German science system, and proven experience in science management and committee administration, coupled with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Education
University degree in Science Management or a scientific field relevant to the LIN, with documented further training or professional experience in Science Management
Experience
- Professional experience in strategic Science Management
- Professional experience in supporting committees and governing bodies at a university or non-university institution
- Experience in leading teams (ideally)
- Experience in moderating groups (ideally)
