Job Summary
This is a high-impact role for a Senior Clinical Biomarker Expert at the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine (ITEM) in Hannover, with the clear perspective of taking over departmental leadership. The expert will be responsible for developing and implementing application-oriented biomarker research and development services for industrial and public partners, primarily supporting drug and medical device development. Day-to-day work involves conducting advanced research in pulmonary immunology and inflammatory diseases, planning and executing clinical studies within a GCP-regulated environment, and establishing, implementing, and validating complex assay systems in molecular biology and biochemistry. The ideal candidate must possess a doctoral degree, significant post-doctoral laboratory leadership experience, and proven success in scientific publication and team management. - Experience with assay validation and structured project reporting
- Experience with Biobanking (advantageous)
