Job Summary

This temporary, full-time role in Essen focuses on executing the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process within the operational procurement department. The Operational Purchaser is responsible for receiving and verifying SAP purchase requisitions, creating purchase orders in the SAP system (including obtaining necessary signatures and dispatching to suppliers), and performing price invoice verification. A core function involves ensuring proper utilization of framework agreements and accurate data entry in SAP, coordinating closely with strategic purchasers. The role also requires performing control and audit functions related to order process requirements, such as data protection and HSE compliance. Candidates must possess a completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, extensive experience with the P2P process, and fundamental knowledge of SAP MM in R/3 and/or S/4HANA. Success requires a highly structured, process-oriented approach and strong communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
