Job Summary

The System and Network Administrator will join the IT team at the Konz Municipal Association to manage and maintain the entire IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and external locations. Daily responsibilities involve 1st and 2nd-Level Support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations by managing Problem, Change, Security, and Capacity Management processes while upholding data protection standards. Key tasks include administering IT infrastructure (SAN, Firewall, Switch, WLAN, PCs), administering monitoring solutions, and managing software distribution using tools like MS Intune and JAMF. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) and extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and network security. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or equivalent; alternatively, vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or comparable qualifications.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT administration (required if candidate holds vocational training instead of a degree)
  • Experience with current infrastructure implementation, hardware components, operating systems, and network/storage/security technologies
  • Experience with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and WLAN
  • Experience with Terminal Server technologies (Microsoft RDP, Citrix)
  • Experience with Linux (advantageous)
