Job Summary
This role involves joining the Operations Technology Team at the Computing Center of the Bundeswehr University Munich, focusing on the setup, operation, and ongoing development of the campus-wide network and server infrastructure. The technician will handle critical tasks such as configuring switches, performing professional cabling, administering the data network, and optimizing the WLAN infrastructure. Day-to-day activities include managing user requests and troubleshooting via a ticket system, documenting processes, and providing expert consultation on network matters. Key qualifications include a relevant vocational degree (e.g., IT Systems Electronics Technician) and at least three years of professional experience in network operations. Proficiency in specific tools like Aruba OS-CX, HP ProCurve, and Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is required. This position offers a responsible and varied opportunity to contribute to the central IT strategy of a major university, supporting thousands of students and staff in teaching, research, and administration.

Education
Completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician, IT Systems Electronics Technician, or comparable vocational training.
Experience
- Professional experience in the described field, generally not less than three years
- Experience in setting up, administering, and operating data networks (Desirable, but highly relevant to the role)
