Job Summary

This leadership role requires an experienced professional to head the Structural Engineering Department within the Real Estate Management division for Cuxhaven County. The Head of Department is responsible for the organizational development and personnel leadership of 36 staff members, focusing on employee- and task-oriented management. Daily activities center on overseeing the implementation of new construction projects, and the comprehensive maintenance, renovation, and management of all county-owned properties, often tackling significant maintenance backlogs under resource constraints. A key component of the role is coordinating complex approval processes with various stakeholders, including county administration, contractors, political committees, and property users. Candidates must possess at least two years of leadership experience, expertise in budgetary law, and demonstrated strategic planning, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, alongside the required civil service qualifications.
