Job Summary

This role as an OpenShift System Engineer places you within an IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center, contributing deep technical expertise to complex system integration projects for diverse public and private sector clients. Day-to-day responsibilities involve designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications, focusing heavily on modern cloud technologies. You will be instrumental in defining and reviewing technical architecture, learning new IT architecture skills, and translating detailed requirements into robust architectural solutions. A core function involves the setup and operation of Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, requiring practical experience primarily as an administrator. You will drive automation using tools like GitOps (ArgoCD) and configuration management (Ansible/Terraform), and ensure robust observability (logging/monitoring). Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift, and expertise in specialized areas like air-gapped environments, Azure, Red Hat ACM, and ACS. The position requires strong analytical thinking and advanced communication skills in both German and English (B2 level).
