Job Summary
This Project Management role, based in Euskirchen, focuses on the critical implementation and coordination of flood protection measures following recent flood events. The successful candidate will lead the execution of tasks and initiatives derived from the inter-municipal flood protection concept, ensuring cross-communal alignment of technical measures. Key daily activities include serving as the primary contact for stakeholders, including the Erft Association, neighboring municipalities, and citizens, regarding flood protection and heavy rainfall concepts. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a network of rain gauges, analyzing collected data to inform heavy rainfall strategies, and organizing citizen workshops on flood mitigation and recovery efforts. This position requires a background in civil engineering or a comparable field, coupled with strong project execution experience and specialized knowledge of relevant German and EU water and construction regulations.
