Job Summary

This full-time position supports a leading Cytological Institute specializing in diagnostics and cancer screening across Germany and the EU. The Biotechnical Laboratory Assistant will primarily work within the Sample Receiving Laboratory and Molecular Pathology department. Daily responsibilities are hands-on, including unpacking and labeling patient samples and slides, performing crucial laboratory tasks such as preparing staining solutions, conducting slide staining and mounting, and sorting finished preparations. A key component of the role involves performing specialized PCR analyses. While formal professional training in a laboratory field (such as MTA or CTA) is preferred, the company offers intensive, quality-managed training, making this an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individuals, including those currently untrained, who possess strong organizational skills, diligence, and a quick comprehension ability. The role is initially fixed-term (maternity cover) but aims for a long-term transition to permanent employment.
