Job Summary

As a Material Planner specializing in rail vehicle construction, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials for an international rail vehicle manufacturer. Your daily tasks will involve implementing purchase requisitions for both internal and external suppliers, meticulously adjusting master data for material planning, and creating essential planning documents. A key part of your role will be actively communicating with suppliers, tracking delivery dates, and proactively addressing any delays by defining countermeasures. You will analyze supplier delivery performance, predict potential issues, and assess risks to production. Maintaining delivery dates in the ERP system, following up on missing parts, and ensuring non-conformities are processed through the NCR system are also critical. The ideal candidate will have a background in business administration, technology, or supply chain, coupled with several years of experience in supply chain functions like material requirements planning and supplier management. Proficiency in German and good English skills are essential for effective communication.
