Job Summary

This Senior Scientist role focuses on driving technological innovation within the Pharmaceutical and Life Science sectors by specializing in Downstream Processing (DSP). The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of DSP methods for recombinant cells and proteins within a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. Key daily tasks involve designing, planning, executing, and evaluating complex experiments, often utilizing Design of Experiments (DoE) and Quality by Design principles. This requires extensive hands-on experience setting up and operating advanced analytical lab equipment, specifically focusing on chromatography, filtration, and flow cytometry for High Throughput DSP. Candidates must possess a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, coupled with several years of industrial laboratory experience in a GMP setting or equivalent experience gained through a PhD. Proficiency in both German and English is required, along with experience using statistical analysis software like JMP or R.
