Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Deputy Head of the Drinking Water Laboratory, overseeing a team of four employees and ensuring the highest standards of water quality and safety for the region. Key daily tasks include the sampling of drinking water, raw water, and wastewater, followed by comprehensive chemical analyses using classical methods such as Titration, Photometry, and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). A critical component of the job is maintaining strict, norm-compliant quality assurance and managing the Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, including performing internal audits. The successful candidate will also handle customer inquiries (written, telephone, and on-site), prepare offers, and collaborate closely with the certified wastewater operations laboratory. This position requires a degree in Chemistry or equivalent natural science qualification, deep professional experience in water/wastewater management, and familiarity with relevant German regulations (DVGW, DWA, TrinkwV).
