Job Summary

This role, based in Essen or Dortmund, Germany, is for an engaged Solution Architect to join the IT Service Network Sales team at Westnetz, Germany's largest distribution network operator, contributing significantly to the energy transition. Day-to-day responsibilities involve collaborating closely with Enterprise and Cloud Architects to design and develop dynamic, scalable, stable, and cost-effective solution architectures. The architect analyzes requirements from Business Owners, translates them into viable architectures, and guides Application Managers through the planning, optimization, and modernization of cloud-based applications. This includes supporting migration measures, setting implementation standards, and ensuring compliance with best practices regarding security, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in IT architecture and infrastructure, practical experience with solution design, and familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
