Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Transmission and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) within a major international engineering group. The successful candidate will be integral to international plant projects, managing the process from initial proposal creation through to final customer handover. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing control system software for FACTS technologies (such as SVC/STATCOM), drafting comprehensive technical documentation and design specifications, and executing rigorous functional and acceptance testing at the Erlangen test center. A key component of the role is ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and IT security standards, while coordinating interfaces across internal teams, customers, and suppliers. This position requires a university degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics or Automation Technology, strong language skills in German and English, and a high willingness to travel globally for multi-week commissioning assignments.
