Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as an Electronics Technician or Electrician within the Baunatal Municipal Services focuses heavily on maintaining and expanding the city's infrastructure, particularly street lighting systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on maintenance, conversion, and expansion of streetlights, executing small municipal construction projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance by performing DGUV V4 electrical safety inspections. The role also involves setting up and testing temporary electrical installations for events and managing the inventory of construction power distributors. Key qualifications include completed vocational training in the electrical engineering trade, practical experience using electrical tools and measuring devices, and specialized knowledge in energy and building technology. The ideal candidate should also possess strong communication and service skills, and ideally hold (or be willing to obtain) a Class C1 driving license for operating specialized equipment like the lift/cherry picker.
