Job Summary

The Owners Engineer BESS acts as the client's technical expert, driving Battery Energy Storage System projects from concept through implementation. You will be responsible for translating client requirements into technical specifications, reviewing documentation, and ensuring seamless coordination across complex interfaces, including Instrumentation & Control (I&C), medium, and high voltage systems. A key part of the role involves leveraging deep technical knowledge of batteries and cells to overcome engineering challenges. Furthermore, you will manage and technically guide mandated planners and EPC contractors, oversee all planning and execution services, and provide crucial technical evaluations of bids during the procurement process to support high-stakes negotiations. This role requires a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and proven experience in power plant, grid connection, or BESS environments, combined with negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English.
