Job Summary

This Senior System Engineer role focuses on maintaining and optimizing the Unified Communication Devices (UCD) infrastructure for a major IT service provider supporting the German Armed Forces. The successful candidate will be responsible for the stable operation of national fixed-line and mobile communication systems, including WAN/LAN services. Daily tasks involve rigorous monitoring of phone and video infrastructure, providing second-level incident resolution, and offering problem support. A core function is the planning, execution, and coordination of configuration changes, specifically optimizing Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco SRS Routers, Cisco Jabber Clients, and Cisco Hardphones to ensure high availability. Candidates must possess a degree or training in IT, coupled with at least five years of professional experience administering Cisco VoIP infrastructures. Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or DevOps is highly valued, along with fluent German and good English skills.
