Job Summary

This role seeks a Project Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) control technology, focusing specifically on SCADA Communication Gateways for Siemens Energy. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the signal mediation between automation devices, integrating communication technology for sub-systems, and interfacing with control centers. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical specifications and manuals, clarifying signal lists with customers and suppliers, and configuring central data gateways (such as IPCOMM ipConv) and various protocol converters. A critical part of the job involves system integration and commissioning components in test setups in Erlangen and Forchheim, ensuring flawless communication through signal tests, and supporting acceptance testing. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Computer Science, possesses professional experience in control technology for energy transmission systems, and has a strong understanding of SCADA systems and relevant control technology protocols.
