Job Summary

This is a 12-month temporary contract within the Research Group “Decarbonization and Resource Efficiency,” focused on enhancing the sustainability performance of Siemens' portfolio. The Engineer will primarily support R&D projects by integrating environmental data into digital platforms and models to inform critical decision-making and sustainability initiatives. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing environmental datasets, identifying opportunities for developing new digital services, and creating solutions for climate change mitigation in industrial and urban settings. A key output is the effective communication of results through reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Data Science, or 1-3 years of related professional experience. Required skills include proficiency in German and English, expertise in environmental assessments (LCA), and practical knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools like Python, R, or Mendix.
