Job Summary

This role involves supporting the upgrade and retrofitting of electrical systems across water, sewage, and pumping stations. The professional will be responsible for the independent management of project phases (HOAI 1-9) for technical equipment, including planning, tendering, and execution of major electrical construction, conversion, and expansion projects across 7 waterworks, 9 sewage treatment plants, and 425 pumping stations. Key requirements include a qualification as an Industrial Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, coupled with professional experience in process, control, telemetry, and automation technology, ideally within water or wastewater infrastructure. This is an attractive, permanent position in a stable public utility company offering a 39-hour work week with flexible hours, mobile working options, and competitive public sector compensation (approx. €56,000 - €75,000 annual salary).

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrician for Operational or Automation Technology with further qualification as an Industrial Master Craftsman (IHK) or State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in process, control, telemetry, and automation technology
  • Experience with planning, installation, conversion, and billing of electrical systems
  • Experience in water supply or wastewater disposal systems (e.g., waterworks, sewage treatment plants) is ideal
  • Experience with public procurement according to VOB is ideal
  • Not suitable for entry-level professionals
