Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Commissioning Engineer to ensure the flawless, timely, and economical commissioning (IBS) of partial or complete electrical energy supply systems, focusing primarily on SF6 or Clean Air Gas-Insulated High-Voltage Switchgear (GIS). Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating with construction managers, performing detailed functional tests on primary equipment, integrating the switchgear into control systems, and executing demanding high-voltage tests. As the final link in the quality chain, you will be responsible for handing over technically impeccable systems to the client, requiring meticulous documentation and adaptation to varying regional standards. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Energy or Automation Technology, and possesses knowledge of high-voltage technology and network protection. This position offers intensive training and significant professional growth, serving as the manufacturer's key representative on site, troubleshooting technical issues in collaboration with development teams, and instructing customer personnel. Excellent command of both German and English is required, alongside a willingness for long-term national and international assignments, including potential work on offshore platforms.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning or related electrical engineering field (desirable)
  • Experience acting as the final quality assurance link for complex systems
