Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT System Administrator who will serve as the central point of support for IT infrastructures, primarily serving schools and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and security of server, network, operating system, and application environments through proactive maintenance and updates. Day-to-day tasks include managing customer-specific projects from requirements analysis and IT standard definition through to rollout, administering and securing networks, configuring mail servers (like Exchange Server), and deploying terminal services. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training, deep knowledge of Windows Server environments, network protocols, virtualization solutions (Hyper-V), and Microsoft 365, alongside a reliable and structured approach to system administration.
