Job Summary

This role involves managing environmental protection and nature conservation compliance specifically related to landscape construction and aviation safety measures for Airbus in Hamburg. The manager acts as the primary point of contact for environmental and aviation authorities, handling complex legal documentation such as air traffic regulations notices and environmental impact assessments (EIA). Key responsibilities include coordinating specialized external consultants for noise/air pollution studies, biotope mapping, and species protection reports (e.g., for birds and bats). The position requires strong project management skills to oversee external contractors, manage required compensatory measures in collaboration with biologists, and ensure compliance for off-site flight safety measures like tree felling and obstacle lighting installation. Candidates must possess a degree in Environmental Protection, Landscape Planning, or Construction, coupled with multi-year professional experience in project management and deep knowledge of German environmental and nature conservation law. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
