Job Summary

This role involves working as a Chemical Technician specializing in the professional handling and processing of hazardous waste. Daily tasks include assessing, receiving, sorting, and correctly packaging dangerous materials, often using organoleptic tests for identification. The technician is responsible for assigning and storing waste according to specific facility guidelines and preparing accurate packing lists and transport documents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including acting as a specialist under TRGS 520 for mobile pollutant collection. Key qualifications include completed vocational training as a Chemical Worker, Laboratory Technician, or Waste Management Specialist, coupled with fundamental knowledge of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. A minimum of two years of professional experience is required, with prior experience in the waste management sector being highly beneficial.
