Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Analytical Chemistry Technician focused on maintaining the highest quality standards for products, raw materials, and process media within an international coffee industry group. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing analytical quality assurance using both classical wet-chemical and advanced instrumental analysis techniques, specifically Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). You will be responsible for the maintenance of lab equipment, meticulous documentation of results using modern software (LIMS, Chromeleon), and actively participating in the development and validation of new analytical methods. The ideal candidate holds a relevant technical qualification (e.g., Chemical Laboratory Technician) and brings several years of professional experience in instrumental analysis and method development within an accredited laboratory environment (DIN EN ISO 17025). Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Certified Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemical Technician, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in instrumental analysis, especially GC and HPLC
  • Professional experience in mass spectrometric (GC-MS) determination of analytes (highly desirable)
  • Experience in method development in a regulated, accredited laboratory environment (DIN EN ISO 17025)
  • Experience in the analysis of coffee or other foodstuffs (advantageous)
