Job Summary
This role involves supporting the municipal utilities of Niederkassel by handling the planning, tendering, and construction of low-voltage electrical systems within the waterworks and associated remote sites. Day-to-day duties include essential maintenance and operational tasks, such as executing switching actions, overseeing pumps, generators, backup power units, and managing all components of the process control and remote monitoring systems, including the utility's photovoltaic installations. The successful candidate will also assist with general water supply operations, including leak detection and ensuring compliance with the Drinking Water Ordinance. Candidates must possess a state-certified qualification as an Electrical Engineering Technician or a certified Master Craftsman in the electrical field. While professional experience in water supply networks is beneficial, recent graduates are explicitly encouraged to apply. The position requires strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure, and offers a permanent, secure employment contract with flexible hours in a supportive environment.
