Job Summary

This R&D Scientist role is crucial for driving the development of innovative reagent kits for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) within a dynamic research team. The position requires leveraging deep expertise in sample preparation and chromatography to resolve complex analytical challenges, always ensuring practical applicability in clinical settings. Key responsibilities include the expert assessment of complex assay data utilizing Liquid Chromatography (HPLC/UHPLC) and Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) platforms, as well as applying specialized knowledge of various LC-MS/MS systems during kit development. The scientist is responsible for meticulous documentation, translating project results into conclusive reports, and actively supporting the creation of technical files necessary for obtaining European and international IVD product approvals. Candidates must possess a degree in Natural Sciences, several years of relevant LC-MS experience, and strong organizational skills, coupled with fluent written and spoken English.

Required Skills

Education

Successful degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field); PhD in LC-MS/MS method development (preferred)

Experience

  • Several years of knowledge in Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (HPLC and LC-MS)
  • Professional experience in sample preparation of biological materials of human origin
  • Experience in the development, transfer, and troubleshooting of LC/MS analysis methods in an industrial environment (desirable)
