Job Summary

This role involves the critical commissioning of high-voltage substation systems, ranging from 20 kV up to 400 kV. The specialist will be responsible for programming the station control technology, performing rigorous testing, and maintaining both conventional and digital protection and control systems within the switchgear. Daily tasks include conducting detailed electrical measurements (e.g., insulation and transformer measurements), performing complex troubleshooting, and creating essential technical documentation in collaboration with planning and project management teams. Candidates must possess a background in Electrical Engineering (Technician or Master level) or a relevant IHK qualification, coupled with practical experience in commissioning, secondary test equipment, and protection relays. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrical Technician or comparable field, preferably with further training as a Master Craftsman or Certified Technician, or IHK Protection Technician qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning electrical systems
  • Ideally experience with secondary test equipment and protection relays
  • Knowledge of telecontrol, station control, or automation technology, particularly in medium or high voltage environments
