Job Summary

This role seeks a Function Developer to drive the full lifecycle development of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) systems, from initial concept definition through to Start of Production (SOP). The core responsibilities include defining the functional scope and performance objectives, creating detailed requirements and test cases, and ensuring robust function validation through testing on hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) systems, test benches, and physical vehicles. Success in this position requires a university degree in a relevant engineering field, such as Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or Mechatronics, coupled with initial professional experience in Driver Assistance Systems, particularly longitudinal control. Candidates must possess strong foundational knowledge in vehicle dynamics, sensor fusion, or control algorithms. Knowledge of functional safety standards like ISO 26262 and ASPICE is advantageous. The position demands excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams (developers, architects) and external clients, along with fluency in both German and English.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience with Driver Assistance Systems (DAS)
  • Experience ideally focused on Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) or longitudinal control
  • Experience in function development from concept phase to Start of Production (SOP)
  • Experience conducting tests on test benches, vehicles, or HiL systems
