Job Summary
The Energy Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing energy consumption, reducing costs, and achieving climate goals for a major hospital system. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining the energy management system (DIN EN ISO 50001), leading the energy team, and conducting regular building inspections to identify new efficiency measures. The role involves systematic energy consumption tracking, analysis, and developing optimization proposals. Key tasks also cover planning and realizing energy efficiency projects, managing energy procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with energy law, and generating regular energy reports. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Energy Management or Supply Engineering, possesses solid technical knowledge of various energy forms (heat, cooling, electricity, renewables), and has strong project management skills. This position offers the chance to actively shape sustainable medical infrastructure within a professional, interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
University or University of Applied Sciences degree in Energy Management, Supply Engineering (HVAC/Sanitary), or a comparable field of study
Experience
- Professional experience and knowledge in Energy Management (DIN EN ISO 50001) is ideal
- Experience in collecting, documenting, and evaluating energy performance indicators, especially in a hospital environment
- Experience in leading teams and conducting team meetings
