Job Summary

The City of Bottrop is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Water Management to join its Civil Engineering Department. This full-time, permanent position involves crucial public service work focused on developing sustainable water infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent creation of construction-ready designs for the renewal and new construction of wastewater facilities, such as gravity sewers, pressure pipelines, pumping stations, and retention basins. A critical aspect of the role is incorporating strategies for climate change adaptation into all designs. The engineer will also be responsible for planning the drainage development of new residential and commercial areas, overseeing external planning projects, and providing expert statements on building applications and development plans. Successful candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Urban Water Management or Water and Environment, and demonstrate proficiency in CAD technology, Graphical Information Systems (GIS), and standard office software.

Required Skills
