Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Immission Control department by managing and conceptually implementing noise protection requirements across all phases of planning for federal highways, including tunnel and civil engineering projects. Key responsibilities include professional coordination of cross-departmental noise protection processes within the regional branch and its external offices, as well as coordinating the assessment of needs for noise remediation projects. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Physics, Acoustics, Building Physics, or a comparable field, coupled with extensive professional experience in noise protection and deep knowledge of relevant German regulatory frameworks (BImSchG, 16.BImSchV, RLS-19, etc.). Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Dipl.-Ing. TH/Uni or Master of Science) in Physics, Acoustics, Sound Protection, Building Physics, or comparable fields

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in noise protection
  • Comprehensive, well-founded, and practical expertise in noise protection and relevant German regulations
  • Experience with direct award procedures and handling of engineering services contracts for noise protection
