Job Summary

This role involves managing complex infrastructure projects for a network operator, focusing on secondary, control, and switchgear technology within Medium and Low Voltage systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in project pre-planning, creating detailed project briefs, developing concepts for safe and uninterrupted plant operation, and calculating project costs. The manager will be responsible for creating tender documents, scheduling, coordinating procurement processes, and utilizing SAP S4/Hana for ordering materials and services, including operational forecasting. A key aspect is coordinating communication among various internal stakeholders (Network Operations, Asset Management, Procurement) and managing external service providers and suppliers. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree in Electrical, Automation, or Energy Technology, or a comparable technical qualification (e.g., Master Electrician) with proven experience in net infrastructure projects and relevant industry standards. This position requires strong project management skills, quality assurance oversight on construction sites, and significant travel (30%) within the network area.

Required Skills

Education

Completed engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Energy Technology) OR comparable qualification (e.g., experienced Electrician, Master Electrician, or Electrical Fitter with relevant specialization)

Experience

  • Professional experience in project pre-planning and implementation (Protection, Control, or Switchgear Technology)
  • Experience in net infrastructure projects, preferably in Secondary/Plant Technology
  • Experience in creating tender documents and managing procurement processes
  • Experience with project management methods and tools
  • Experience in coordinating and leading construction site meetings and acceptance commissions
