Job Summary

This role is ideal for a skilled professional in mechanical or electrical engineering who is passionate about bringing complex technological visions to life, specifically within the demanding field of submarine commissioning. Day-to-day responsibilities involve reviewing and modifying test specifications with designers, meticulously checking relevant construction documents like wiring diagrams and quality assurance guidelines, and executing all specified functional tests. A key part of the job involves troubleshooting malfunctions, initiating and supervising repair measures, and supporting subcontractors on-site. The technician will also conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (HAT) and support systems during the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) phase. The successful candidate must have several years of professional experience in a similar role, strong knowledge of technical documentation, and excellent coordination skills to interface with various trades, quality assurance, customers, and regulatory bodies. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a skilled worker in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Master Craftsman certificate desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a similar commissioning position
